As I reflect on my journey, I am overwhelmed with a sense of pride and accomplishment. It’s astonishing to think that it’s been over a decade since I first ventured into the world of virtual assistance. With zero prior knowledge of SEO, graphic design, writing, web development, or blogging, I embarked on this path with only two essential tools: an unwavering willingness to learn and unrelenting patience.
The Early Years
My journey began in 2009, and I spent countless hours honing my skills, learning from online resources, and taking on small projects to build my portfolio. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to succeed. In 2013, I landed a breakthrough project, pioneering a group of data analysts in the finance industry for a US-based client. This experience not only boosted my confidence but also taught me the importance of teamwork and leadership.
A Setback and a Turning Point
In 2015, my career took a different turn when my local recruitment agency promoted me to a managerial role. But fate had other plans. In 2018, our main client faced challenges, and we had to part ways. This unexpected turn led to the closure of our company.
Freelancing and Rebuilding
Undeterred, I continued to seek new opportunities. To make ends meet, I transitioned into freelancing, taking on projects such as designing books for a Thai client. But the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and many businesses struggled to stay afloat.
Through the power of word-of-mouth recommendations, I gradually expanded my clientele. My network grew, and so did my skills. I continued to learn and adapt, taking on new challenges and pushing myself to excel. It wasn’t long before I realized that I had outgrown my solo freelancing setup. It was time to build a team and create a company that would provide top-notch outsourcing services to businesses worldwide.
